The Ohio State Veterinary Medical Center-Dublin provides same-day urgent care services during evening, weekend, and holiday hours. When you are concerned about your pet’s health, but it isn’t life threatening, and you don’t feel you should wait until your family veterinarian’s office is open, our  experienced team of veterinarians, technicians and assistants are here to provide the highest level of care for your pet when immediate attention is needed, but emergency room care is not. No appointments are necessary. Walk-ins are welcome!

Urgent Care hours are as follows:
Monday – Friday: 4:00 PM – 11:00 PM
Saturday – Sunday: 11:00 AM – 11:00 PM
Holidays: 11:00 AM – 11:00 PM


 Urgent Care case examples include:
Coughing or sneezing
Diarrhea or vomiting
Loss of appetite
Itching and allergic reactions; Eye, ear, and skin infections
Urinary tract infections
Mild lameness, limping, general discomfort, fracture assessment
Minor wounds and lacerations

Q: What is the cost of an after-hours emergency or urgent care visit at Animal Hospital of Shawnee Hills or an emergency facility?

A: Please call ahead to your hospital of choice for current pricing information.

Q: Can you bill me for my pet’s medication care?

A: Unfortunately are not able to finance pet medical care. Services performed must be paid in full. If your pet is hospitalized, a deposit of 50% of the treatment plan estimate must be paid at the time of hospitalization. Once your pet is well enough to return home, the outstanding balance for services performed must be paid in full prior to release.
